Calling themselves the Chicago Heatwave, they recruited Johnnie's brother, Keith.
They were known for their successful songs "Boogie Nights" and "Always and Forever" (from their 1976 debut album, Too Hot to Handle), and "The Groove Line" (from their 1978 follow-up album, Central Heating). Get track 65
Keith Harrison Writer and keyboardist Rod Temperton continued to write songs, giving Heatwave on more top ten single, "The Groove Line" in 1978.

Heatwave was founded by Johnnie Wilder, an American serviceman based in West Germany, who stayed on there after his discharge. "Heatwave" is a song by German DJ and record producer Robin Schulz featuring vocals from American singer, rapper and songwriter Akon.
Two years after Heatwave enjoyed its last summit of the U.S. R&B charts with 1982's "Lettin' It Loose," Epic released the band's second hits package. 4
