He opens both of them; the first letter addresses him as the twins' father, the rapist, and is filled with contempt.

The twins find Nihad in Canada and deliver Nawal's letters to him.
Following the death of Jeanne's mother Nawal, an Arab immigrant in Canada, Jeanne and her twin brother Simon meet with French Canadian notary Jean Lebel, their mother's employer and family friend.
Whereas many were impressed with this colorful visit to hostile lands journey, I found it manipulative and over dramatic, the 'surprise' ending so predictable, given the DRAMA beforehand as to be nearly ridiculous.
R (for some strong violence and language)

Although "Incendies" shows very little violence, the burden of knowing what's taking place off-screen is just as difficult for the audience to stomach. Director Denis Villeneuve adapts Wajdi Mouawad's play concerning a pair of twins who make a life-altering discovery following the death of their mother. It's messy, overlong, and a touch melodramatic, but those flaws pale before Incendies' impressive acting and devastating emotional impact. Incendies is in essence a family drama, astonishingly intense but impressively poised. | Your AMC Ticket Confirmation# can be found in your order confirmation email.
It's about a pair of twins who set out to find their absent father and also a brother after the death of their mother. It is not really believable, and yet if it is not taken literally, but as a cinematic prose-poem, it has undoubted force. We won’t be able to verify your ticket today, but it’s great to know for the future.Regal
